I wished and I dreamed. I had high hopes. Here is the problem with high hopes: they never seem to come to fruition. When hopes are dashed there is just disappointment, a tinge of sadness, and a feeling that ultimately nothing will turn out how you hope they will. Eventually you realize that the dreams you wish and hope for most are usually the ones that are rewritten for you. Considering all this, you'd think that I would learn not to hope. But ironically, it is the hope that someday dreams will be realized and life will be better than hoped for that makes me want to believe.
Kayla, I don't know what you were wishing, dreaming, hoping about/for but know you are loved, admired, and mostly completely believed in. Love ya!
ReplyDeleteKayla, I have enjoyed reading your posts! One expression one of my missionary companions used was "It's better to shoot for the stars and drag your feet through the treetops, than shoot for the mud and hit it." Life is so full of ups and downs, and whenever I feel the downs, I just remind myself of this little phrase. I love it!
